    Hours of Coverage:                 The ideal candidate should be able to work a flexible schedule, up to 28 hours per week, covering Monday through Thursday, from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., occasional Fridays

    SALARY RANGE:  Min. $16.50 to $17.49 per hour based on experience; temporary part-time, non-benefited

    POSITION SUMMARY:  The chief function of the Ottawa Center Information Specialist is to provide day to day contact for student, faculty, and the community to meet their needs for registration, admissions, testing, and payments at the Ottawa Center.  This position will also be responsible for opening and closing the building, including locking all interior and exterior doors and offices.

    SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:  This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

    QUALIFICATIONS:   
    Required: High school diploma or equivalent; General computer skills using an operating system (Windows) and coursework in, or experience with, Microsoft Office software; Minimum of one year’s experience in an office environment; Ability to safely lift and handle 40 lbs.; Ability to work a flexible schedule, including day shifts, night shifts, and occasional Saturdays.  Preferred: Associate degree in Business, Accounting, or related field; Previous experience working in an office with several staff in close proximity, covering duties for one another as necessary; Knowledge of a student information system (Datatel/Colleague, SCT/Banner) or integrated accounting system; Previous experience in an educational environment.
