English Instructor, Part Time

Position Available:  In-Person English Instructor, Part-Time for Fall 2025 at Main Campus

The Division of Humanities, Fine Arts, and Social Sciences at IVCC is seeking a part-time English Instructor to teach an in-person course section of English Composition, beginning August 2025.  The in-person class will be held on Tuesday and Thursday at 8:00 a.m. to 9:15 a.m. on the IVCC Main Campus in Oglesby.  Applicants may also be considered for future, on-going teaching assignments in English Composition at the Main Campus or the Extension Campus in Ottawa, IL.  

Qualifications Required: Master's degree in English, OR Master's degree in a related field and 18 graduate credit hours in English, with a focus on Rhetoric & Composition preferred.  Graduate coursework must be from an accredited college/university.  Previous teaching experience in higher education is preferred.

Salary:  $688.00 per credit hour; personal paid leave and other part-time benefits
