Work Location: Main Campus, Oglesby and Ottawa Center as needed

Position Summary: Under the supervision of the Coordinator and according to Division and/or College procedures and Board policy, the Center for Accessibility and Neurodiversity Accommodations Specialist ensures compliance with Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 and Title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990. This individual assists in coordinating services for students with learning differences by engaging in outreach and transition activities, securing and reviewing documentation, providing ongoing case management and coordination of services for assigned students, providing referral resources and linkages to internal and external resources, and staying abreast of the latest laws governing accessibility. The Center for Accessibility and Neurodiversity Accommodations Specialist works collaboratively with other College stakeholders via timely communication, meetings, and trainings. Position to be filled by May 1, 2026.
Qualifications: 1. Bachelor’s degree in special education, rehabilitation counseling, or other social or human service field directly related to learning difference or disability required. 2. At least 3 years’ experience coordinating accommodative services or providing case management for students with disabilities, preferably at the post-secondary level required. 3. Evidence of developing and maintaining effective, long-term collaborative relationships with students, and campus and community stakeholders required. 4. Prior experience developing and facilitating workshops for students, staff, and faculty required. 5. Prior experience handling confidential information required. 6. Knowledge of applicable federal and state laws related to disability and reasonable accommodation required. 7. Ability to work independently and as part of a team required. 8. Evidence of excellent organizational and communication skills required. 9. Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required. 10. Master’s degree in special education, rehabilitation counseling, or other human service field with at least 3 years’ experience with coordinating services for students with disabilities preferred. 11. Knowledge of basic digital accessibility guidelines and assistive technology solutions preferred.
