    Description:  Nursing Instructor, Tenure Track

    Job Summary:  Teach and assess student learning outcomes in nursing, allied health, and health-related courses; develop and promote the nursing curriculum designed for both transfer courses to four-year colleges/universities, and applied degree programs; facilitate student learning outside of the classroom through participation in student activities, college and community events; assist with student recruitment; and, in collaboration with colleagues, be responsible for ongoing curriculum evaluation, assessment, and improvement, within the context of IVCC's general education philosophy.

    Qualifications: 

    Required:

    • Master's degree in nursing from an accredited college/university 
    • Currently licensed to practice Nursing in the State of Illinois
    • Minimum two years clinical nursing practice
    • Demonstrated commitment to the mission of the community college

    Preferred:

    • Teaching experience at the college level in nursing or health related fields, including the teaching of on-line courses

    Working Conditions:  Classroom and Hospital Clinical Settings
