creative services and personalized goods to the Princeton community
April 13, 2026 – Princeton, IL – The Princeton Area Chamber of Commerce recently hosted a ribbon cutting ceremony to celebrate the expansion of Primary Market and reelCreative into the Princeton area.
Held on April 9 at the Prouty-Zearing Community Building, the event brought together community members, business leaders, and local supporters to recognize continued business growth and investment in Princeton.
The expansion of both Primary Market and reelCreative provides local businesses, organizations, and individuals with increased access to creative services and personalized products, while also opening the door for new partnerships with businesses looking to grow, connect with customers, and stand out in the Princeton market.
“This is exactly the kind of growth we love to see in Princeton,” said Jenica Cole, Executive Director of the Princeton Area Chamber of Commerce. “When businesses choose to invest in our community, it creates new opportunities, supports local connections, and adds to the overall energy of our downtown and surrounding area.”
Founded by Kathryn Ewers in Ottawa, IL, Primary Market is a personalized gifting brand rooted in creativity, craftsmanship, and community. What began as a small, home-based effort during the 2020 quarantine has grown into a business focused on creating meaningful, custom items designed to bring joy and connection.
“Primary Market has always been about creating something meaningful for others,” said Kathryn Ewers, Founder of Primary Market. “Expanding into Princeton is an exciting step for us, and we’re looking forward to collaborating with other local businesses while continuing to create products that bring people together.”
reelCreative, an Illinois-Valley based creative media agency specializing in video and photography, also announced its expansion into the Princeton area as part of its continued growth across the region. The company works with brands, organizations, and communities to create story-driven pieces that connect with audiences and support long-term business growth.
“Princeton is a community that values both tradition and forward momentum,” said Matthew Klein, Co-Founder of reelCreative. “We’re excited to be here and to work alongside local businesses that are looking to grow, reach new audiences, and see real results. There’s a strong foundation in this community, and we’re looking forward to building on that through meaningful partnerships.”
The ribbon cutting marks a shared commitment to continued growth, collaboration, and investment in Princeton’s future.
As new businesses expand into the area, the Chamber continues to support initiatives that strengthen the local economy and create opportunities for residents and business owners alike.
