Deck the Historic Halls Returns to the Hegeler Carus Mansion
‘O Tannenbaum, O Tannenbaum…’ 
La Salle, IL: The Hegeler Carus Mansion is all dressed up again this holiday season! The Mansion has a new addition this year, original historic dresses and suits of the family that lived in the Mansion! The clothing will be partnered with 14 sponsored trees throughout three levels of the Mansion. Make this an annual tradition to celebrate the holidays! 

Oh, Christmas Tree Tour is a guided 45-minute, yuletide experience where guests experience holiday cheer on the Main and Second Floors, including areas not shown on the Main Story Tour. After the tour, vote for and/or place a bid on your favorite, fully decorated one-of-a-kind tree. Nov 5-Dec 19, 2026, check website for days/times. Tickets $30/person.
 
The More the Merrier Tour is a guided 2.5-hour expanded Christmas tour unwrapping more of the family history and holiday traditions while taking you to all 7 levels in the house! You’ll experience the joy of the "Oh, Christmas Tree Tour” with the added bonus of exploring the attics, cupola, gymnasium, and more. NEW this year, this tour will be available Thurs-Sat Nov 5-Dec 19, check website for times. Tickets $125/person. 

The Tannenbaum Brunch will feature an elaborately decorated Mansion, delicious holiday brunch by Good Morning Good Day Cafe and Blue-Eyed Rascal Bakery Co., and holiday music performed by Manderley Strings, with seating in the decorated areas of the Mansion. Due to an overwhelming response to last year’s event, we have added an additional timeslot this year:  Sat, Dec12 10am-12noon or 1pm-3pm. Tickets $65/person (limited seating available). 

Don’t have time for a tour? No worries! Come to our Holiday Open House on Small Business Saturday. This self-guided mini holiday tour allows visitors to explore the Main Floor of the Mansion at their own pace. Each room features a one-of-a-kind Christmas Tree. Sat, Nov 28 10am- 2pm. Tickets $15/person.
