    About Us

IVFC is a not-for-profit corporation, founded in 1987, by 25 pilots who together purchased a Cessna 172. Their goal was to make flying affordable for a greater number of people in the LaSalle County area. Since then the club has grown to over 45 active members and three aircraft. We are based at Illinois Valley Regional Airport (KVYS) in Peru, Illinois. If you are a pilot or want to become one, joining a club is the most economical way to enjoy the pleasure of flight with you and your family. By all of us sharing the cost of maintenance, storage, and insurance with others, the cost of ownership for each member is vastly reduced. At least 1 club plane is almost always available at any given time, and can be scheduled online. We are always looking for new members, so take a look at the Membership page for more information, and contact us if you are interested.
