    About Us

We raise money for local non-profits 501(c) organizations in the Illinois Valley area through donations from our members - voted on during quarterly meetings.

100+ People Who Care – Illinois Valley was founded by Denise and Kevin Franz of Ottawa, Illinois.

The Franz’s are relative newcomers to Ottawa, having spent the previous 22 years in Plainfield, Il. While in Plainfield, Denise was especially active in volunteer work, including serving as a board member for several 501c charities, staying active in school fundraising efforts, and becoming a member of 100 Women Who Care, Will County.

When they moved to Ottawa, Denise and Kevin saw there was no local chapter of 100 People Who Care and decided if one wasn’t available, they would create one. They both believe strongly in giving back to the community AND in the Power of 100.

Denise and Kevin have been married 28 years, and have three adult children and one perfect dog!
