What is Sulferox?
The Sulferox Process is a critical statutory chemical process linked to our Silicon Carbide furnace operations. This combination is one of the few that exist in the world. A major future development of this process is to convert our gaseous emissions into marketable products.
The Sulferox Process Engineer is responsible for gathering an in-depth understanding of the Sulferox Operations process while maintaining oversight of the process and people assigned to them. The Sulferox Process Engineer is a developmental role and will be reporting to the
Operations Manager.
• Develop a clear understanding of process flow and its link to furnace operations.
• Drive a safety culture and be familiar with all applicable Occupations Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) laws and regulations
• Maintain all environmental obligations applicable to air and water permits
• Liaise with other operational management in furnacing operations
• Produce weekly chemical usage and sulfur cake production reports
To be successful in this position, you must:
• Have a Bachelor's degree in Engineering in Material/Chemical or Process Engineering or other related engineering discipline
• Be strongly process and data driven
• Have the willingness to develop further technical and managerial skills to take on a higher level of management duties
