Here are some helpful tips to know about Vintage Illinois Wine Festival.
WEATHER: Vintage Illinois is located in a flat grassy area at Matthiessen State Park so be sure to wear comfortable shoes. The event will happen, rain or shine! Don’t forget the sunscreen.
BRING YOUR DRIVERS LICENSE: All guests should be prepared with photo identification showing proof of age.
SEATING: The festival has a very limited number of picnic tables so we encourage you to bring blankets and/or lawn chairs to guarantee your seat. Other items, such as portable shelters and tables are allowed as long as their is room.
OUTSIDE FOOD AND BEVERAGES: There will be plenty of great foods and beverages available for sale at the festival from Starved Rock Lodge, 9th Street Pub, Pine Hills Golf Club Bar & Restaurant, Twyford BBQ, Sherri’s Crab Cakes, and McCormick’s Smokehouse Restaurant and Bula Food Truck. Outside alcoholic beverages are not allowed. You may bring food into the festival to enjoy; however, grilling is only allowed in the parking lot. All coolers are checked for alcohol by security prior to entering the festival grounds.
CHILDREN: While children are allowed into the festival area, this is an adult event, and no family activities are planned. Parents may wish to make alternative arrangements for their children’s care during the event.
PETS: Although pets are allowed in the state park, the festival area can become quite crowded and is really not the best atmosphere for your dog. If you do bring your dog, make sure it is always leashed, do not leave it unattended, and please, please clean up after your dog. Also, please do not bring your dog if it does not get along with other dogs.
