Peru Mall sets Black Friday midnight opening

PERU, IL --- Retailers’ midnight promotions on Black Friday have become such a big hit with eager shoppers that Peru Mall will open at midnight Thursday, Nov. 22 to accommodate early bird shoppers.

 “This is the first time that Peru Mall has scheduled a midnight opening,” said Phil Hileman, Peru Mall’s general manager. “Shoppers have indicated that this is becoming a new tradition, as much a family event as Thanksgiving dinner.”
“We want to offer shoppers the opportunity to take advantage of the many specials that retailers offer during the overnight hours,“ he added.

Starting at midnight Black Friday, Peru Mall shoppers can enter to win a cheery red handbag, stuffed with movie passes and store gift cards or prizes. Drop a completed entry form into the entry box located in center court. Two winning names will be drawn every hour starting at 1 a. m. through 10 a.m., Friday, Nov. 23. Winners will be notified by phone.

Peru Mall will be open to 10 p.m., Friday, Nov. 23.
