La Salle’s Hometown Halloween will be next Saturday, Oct. 27, at Second and Wright streets in La Salle.
From 9:30-11 a.m. stop at the NewsTribune on the southwest corner for treats and free photos of kids in costumes. Enter the east garage door on Wright Street. Photos also will be published in a special section of the NewsTribune.
All other activities will be in the Knights of Columbus parking lot on the northeast corner of Second and Wright streets.
10:30 a.m. — Performance by Hocus Pocus Hugs.
10:45 a.m. — Parade lineup.
11 a.m. — Costume parade with prizes for best costumes among age groups, from children to adults. Also, La Salle Public Library will hand out gifts to trick-or-treaters after the parade. Children will receive a book, a wristband, coloring card favor and a surprise gift.
11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. — Trick or treat at local businesses.
1 p.m. — Children games and snacks, apple barrel ride.
