NUTCRACKER BUS TRIP DECEMBER 9TH | MATINEE
In 2016 Chicago’s Joffrey Ballet took a bold step and debuted a new setting for the traditional ballet “The Nutcracker.” This amazing adaptation is set in Chicago during the 1893 World Columbian Exposition. The beautiful music is as traditional as you remember, but the sets, costuming and choreography will take you on a whole new journey. We will be attending a Sunday afternoon performance on December 9th. The cost is $130 per person with transportation and $125 without. Bus will pick up in Peru, Ottawa and Morris as needed. Be one of the lucky ones to experience this beautiful new setting and Joffrey tradition. About the new Joffrey Nutcracker: Choreographer: © Christopher Wheeldon Music: Peter Ilyich Tchaikovsky “Journey to Chicago's 1893 World's Fair with Wheeldon's holiday masterpiece. Magic is on the horizon for young Marie and her mother, a sculptress creating the iconic Statue of the Republic. As they prepare for their annual holiday celebration, a visit from the charming but mysterious Great Impresario sets off a Christmas Eve dream of whirlwind romance and adventure. Wheeldon's Nutcracker is a must-see tradition boldly reimagined for a new generation.” WHEN: SUNDAY, DECEMBER 9TH, Matinee WHERE: AUDITORIUM THEATER, CHICAGO PAYMENTS DUE: NOVEMBER 1 Call Sue Johnson at 815-223-1910 or reserve online at NCI ARTworks.comDate and Time
