28th Annual Jimmy D Golf Day

Jimmy D Golf Day is going to be held at Spring Creek Golf Course, Spring Valley  and Deer Park Country Club in Oglesby. 

 

The proceeds from the event benefit cancer treatment for area patients and the DeAngelo Cancer Unit at St. Margarets Hospital in Spring Valley.  Establihed in 1985, it is named fro James A. "Jimmy D" DeAngelo, who died in 1983 at the age of 37 after fighting cancer.  It was the wish of Jimmy and his family to raise funds to help cancer patients.  Last year, the event raised $25,000 for area patients, and over the past 27 years it has raised over $570,000.
