18th Annual Free Kid's Fishing Expo
Free ho-to beginning fishing clinics every 15 minutes for boys and girls age 6 and up.  There will also be casting games, free fishing games with prizes, live fish displays, free fishing literature and door prizes, tips from local anglers, Boy Scouts of America Merit badges, games by Pouncing Partners 4-H Club, safety information from the Peru Police Department, food, snacks and drinks.  The Event is sponsored by Better Fishing Association of Northern Illinois, Illinois Department of Natural Resources, Illinois Valley Sunrise Rotary Club, and the La Salle Rotary Club, in association with the cities of La Salle and Peru and the Peru Rescue Squad.
