Jim Burke is a life-long resident of Dixon, Illinois.  He was first elected mayor in 1999 and served 4 full terms in office prior to his retirement this past April.  In addition to being Mayor, Burke is the owner of United Country Burke Realty.  Burke was early in his fourth term when the city clerk brought a secret bank account to his attention.
