Intimate Songs, featuring the Trio Cantabile
This ensemble, featuring “vocal powerhouse” singing of Ola Rafalo (mezzo-soprano), the expressive artistry of Jerome Kava (violin/viola), and the refined musicianship of Massimo Scapin (piano), blends intimacy, lyricism, and instrumental brilliance. The program will include chamber arias by Brahms and others, as well as selected pieces for violin and piano. For this concert, we are partnering with the Illinois Valley Symphony Orchestra to offer a 25% discount combo ticket for both Intimate Songs and the IVSO's May 2 performance of Dvorák's "One Summer in Spillville" on May 2, at 7 pm, at Illinois Valley Community College. Those purchasing the combo ticket will receive their IVSO ticket via email no later than Wednesday, April 29.
