• Grant Writer/ Coordinator

    Salary Range $45,000- $50,000 a year

    This position will be responsible for filing Grant applications and quarterly reports, as well as Illinois State Board of Education financial reporting and claims for the Regional Office. This position will be responsible for learning the accounting software and providing software support to the office. Must be detail-oriented and deadline-driven with strong organizational, written, and oral communication skills. Must maintain a high level of confidentiality, professionalism, integrity, and trust.


    Essential Job Function and Responsibilities

    1. Researches and writes for educational grants

    2. Grant application filing and quarterly reports

    3. Timely submission of financial claims and grant reporting

    4. Ability to work with other organizations/stakeholders

    5. Effective communication skills, especially in writing

    6. Ability to create appropriate reporting and documentation systems for grant compliance

    7. Performs other duties as directed

    Qualification Requirements

    1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Communication, Education, or related field preferred

    2. Demonstrated success in grant writing, ability to leverage community resources, and ability to organize and implement grant programs a plus

    3. Familiarity with Illinois school district accounting a plus

    4. Familiarity with Grant Reporting a plus

    5. Experience with the use of Google applications and computerized accounting systems

    6. Ability to develop and assist in managing budgets

    7. Ability to work on large projects in short amount of time
