    Camp Counselor

    Compensation: $12/Hour Plus Tips

     

    SUMMARY: Camp Aramoni’s camp counselors provide the highest level of service while doing a little bit of everything. Camp counselors are trained in serving, front desk responsibilities and overall hospitality so they are able to serve our guests at every level. Camp counselors are responsible for developing meaningful relationships with our guests while ensuring Camp Aramoni’s grounds and operations are well-maintained. Like all of our team members, camp counselors are at service to guests from the time they step on our property until the minute they leave. On rare occasions, counselors may be asked to assist with housekeeping and maintenance duties.

     

    SCHEDULE: Seasonal part time positions are available from April through November.

    QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, the individual must be able to perform each essential duty and responsibility in a safe and satisfactory manner, and the individual must be punctual and have a good attendance record, and have reliable means of transportation to work. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.

     

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

     
    • Welcome guests with a smile during check-in and give a fond farewell at check-out

    • Ensure that all check-ins and check-outs are handled smoothly without unnecessary delay or discomfort to any guest

    • Transport guests’ luggage from their car to their tent in the golf cart. Transport guests to their room while also providing a quick orientation of the campground

    • Collect guest feedback during guest departure along with their likes and dislikes

    • Handle guest complaints and concerns in an efficient, proactive and timely manner

    • Immediately report unresolved guest complaints to the Concierge and ensure follow up is performed with the guest

    • Possess detailed knowledge about Camp Aramoni, the surrounding towns and competition

    • Manage detailed information regarding arrivals and room requirements

    • Maintain up-to-date information on room rates, promotions, packages, our calendar and experiences

    • Attend pre-shift meetings and have a good understanding of guest list, special requirements, special events and other important notes for the campground

    • Perform basic cashier activities when required and possess a clear understanding of our POS system

    • Know the food and beverage program including ingredient sourcing and preparation methods

    • Serve guests their food and beverage in prompt, courteous manner as per our standard sequence of service. Check in with guests to ensure satisfaction with food and/or beverages

    • Promptly clean and remove the dishes and glassware from guest rooms and dining areas

    • Report cleanliness and maintenance issues to the immediate supervisor

    • Reduce spoilage and waste when possible

    • Give proper and complete handover to the next shift

    • Safely transport guests around the property in golf carts when required

    • Maintain cleanliness of the public areas and service areas

    • Perform any other assigned reasonable duties and responsibilities as assigned or as requested by management
