    Reports to: Director of Food and Beverage

    Compensation: $15/Hour

     

    SUMMARY: Prep cooks are responsible for prepping all food in Camp Aramoni’s kitchens. Individuals must be able to follow both verbal and written instructions to ensure ingredients are properly measured and prepared. Prep cooks play a key role in contributing to our customer satisfaction and acquisition goals.

     

    SCHEDULE: Part time positions are available. Most shifts include weekend hours.

     

    QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, the individual must be able to perform each essential duty and responsibility in a safe and satisfactory manner, and the individual must be punctual and have a good attendance record, and have reliable means of transportation to work. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.

     

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

     
    • Understand menu, recipes and instructions

    • Perform routine kitchen tasks

    • Follow the prep list created to plan duties

    • Label, stock and rotate all ingredients on shelves so they can be organized and easily accessible

    • Measure ingredients and seasonings to be used in cooking

    • Prepare cooking ingredients by washing and chopping vegetables, cutting meat and other meal prep

    • Set up workstations and ingredients so that food can be prepared according to recipes

    • Undertake basic cooking duties such as reducing sauces and parboiling food

    • Prepare simple dishes such as salads and entrees

    • Maintain a clean and orderly kitchen by washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces and removing trash

    • Ensure that all food and other items are stored properly

    • Comply with nutrition and sanitation guidelines

    • Perform other kitchen duties as assigned
