    Reports to: Director of Food and Beverage

    Compensation: $15/Hour

     

    SUMMARY: Expeditors are responsible for serving as a contact point between the BOH and the FOH. These individuals ensure that food orders are accurately prepared within the kitchen. Expeditors are responsible for maintaining ticket times, organizing tickets, ensuring accuracy and maintaining cleanliness. Expeditors may sometimes be asked to assist servers during service as well as  prepare and cook foods that can be completed in a short time. These individuals must be highly organized, have an eye for detail and maintain a calm demeanor when put under pressure.

     

    SCHEDULE: Part time positions are available. Most shifts include weekend hours.

     

    QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, the individual must be able to perform each essential duty and responsibility in a safe and satisfactory manner, and the individual must be punctual and have a good attendance record, and have reliable means of transportation to work. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.

     

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Call out and verify food orders

    • Maintain ticket times and punctuality

    • Organize the tickets on the outside of the pass

    • Run food and serve guests

    • Perform tableside service, preparations or anything else the guest requires

    • Assist servers during service

    • Garnish and touch up plates for finishing and packing

    • Examine portioning and garnishing of completed food orders

    • Review orders for accuracy

    • May prepare and cook foods that can be completed in a short time

    • Keeps FOH staff informed of any menu changes

    • Maintain cleanliness in the kitchen and service areas
