Information Specialist, Ottawa Center, Part Time
The ideal candidate for this position must be able to work a flexible schedule, up to 29 hours per week, 4 days a week, Monday through Thursday from 4pm to 9pm with some occasional dayshifts and Saturdays.
The chief function of this position is to provide day to day contact for student, faculty, and the community to meet their needs for registration, admissions, testing, and payments at the Ottawa Center. This position will provide clerical support to the Center Administrator.
Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent; minimum of one year's office environment experience; general computing skills using an operating system (Windows) and coursework in, or experience with, Microsoft Office software; and ability to safely lift and handle 40 lbs. Preferred: Associate's degree in Business, Accounting, or related field; experience in an administrative support position; ability to work a flexible schedule with some occasional dayshifts and Saturdays; experience preparing brochures, announcements, reports, etc.; knowledge of a student information system (Datatel/Colleague, SCT/Banner) or integrated accounting system; and experience in an educational environment.
