Job Summary: The Women’s Head Soccer Coach is responsible for all aspects of operation and team management including recruitment, training, coaching, fundraising, and retention of qualified student-athletes. The Head Coach will plan, develop, coordinate, and supervise the athletes' participation in soccer. These duties should be completed in an manner that is consistent with the Core Values of IVCC.
Salary Range: This part-time position is paid according to the athletic coaches salary schedule for soccer, a stipend of $8,000.
Qualifications: Experience in soccer through coaching and/or participation is mandatory, with three years coaching experience preferred. Knowledge of current soccer concepts regarding coaching techniques, strategy, rules, etc. High school diploma or equivalent required, Bachelor’s Degree preferred. A valid driver’s license and satisfactory motor vehicle record (MVR) are required, with the ability to organize and work effectively as a member of the Athletic Department team, as well as one-on-one and within groups including: student-athletes, faculty, administrators, staff, community members, and others. Ability to adapt to differences and changes in programs, colleagues, student-athletes, and community characteristics. Demonstrated competency to serve in a coaching capacity.
