    Description: Support Staff/Learning Resources/Division Specialist

    Reports To:  Director of Learning Resources

    Salary Range:  Wage contingent upon qualifications and experience

    Position Summary:  The Division Specialist helps with organizing, coordinating, and reporting activities as they relate to the day-to-day functions of the Learning Resources division office.  The Division Specialist also assists departments within the division by providing support, coverage and gap staffing in busy times or for special projects.  This individual is responsible for providing quality customer service to students, faculty, staff, and the community.  Employees in this classification may supervise clerical employees of lower rank, and/or student workers.

    Qualifications:   Associate’s Degree; one to two years of office experience, which includes the performance of clerical and secretarial duties requiring discretion and independent judgment; proficiency at the intermediate level in computer use, including:  Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Publisher), Outlook email, and internet; ability to handle multiple details, organize, and prioritize work; strong written and verbal communication skills, including appropriate use of grammar and spelling; ability to work cooperatively with students, administration, faculty, community members and staff; and ability to collaborate and coordinate work of others required.
