Description:  Director of Financial Aid

Position Summary:  Under general supervision of the Vice President for Student Services, the Director of Financial Aid leads and supervises a team of support staff in administering the planning, development, supervision, and evaluation of the institution’s comprehensive Financial Aid functions.  Additionally, the Director will serve as advisor to the Vice President for Student Services in the formation of policies and procedures related to the financial aid operation of the institution.
 
Qualifications:  Bachelor’s degree OR a comparable amount of education and experience required, Master's preferred.  At least three years of work experience working in a Financial Aid office OR equivalent amount of professional experience in a related industry; demonstrated experience of working with Microsoft Office; strong interpersonal, written, or oral communication skills required.  At least one year of previous supervisory experience; familiarity with any ERP system required, Ellucian Colleague preferred.  Experience working independently and within a team environment; ability and willingness to travel, when necessary, in order to meet compliance with training requirements and/or to provide community outreach and recruitment support.
