Director of Financial Aid
Director of Financial Aid (Full Time, Level 11, Exempt): Under general supervision of the Vice President for Student Services, the Director of Financial Aid leads and supervises a team of support staff in administering the planning, development, supervision, and evaluation of the institution’s comprehensive Financial Aid functions of the College. Additionally, the Director will serve as advisor to the Vice President in the formation of policies affecting the financial aid operation and assist the Vice President with meeting representation.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree; three years of work experience in a Financial Aid office; demonstrated knowledge of and the ability to manage and explain the complex state and federal regulations that govern financial aid and veteran educational benefits; demonstrated effective use of the Microsoft Office Suite and a proprietary information system (Ellucian, Banner, PeopleSoft, etc.); strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills; and strong organizational and time management skills required. Previous experience working directly with Ellucian’s Colleague student information system; prior supervisory experience; availability to travel; and ability to work a flexible schedule preferred.
