Description: Communications Coordinator, Full Time
Reports To: Director of Marketing
Salary Range: Exempt; commensurate with education and experience; excellent benefits
Position Summary: Serve as the primary communications professional staff for the college. See attached job description for essential duties and responsibilities that include overseeing and writing press releases, feature stories and special events of community interest in the promotion of the college and conducting and arranging for photo and video to capture IVCC events and athletics.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in marketing, public relations or related field; demonstrated ability to write clear, concise and accurate press releases and manage multiple tasks; excellent interpersonal, customer service, communication and strong organizational skills; demonstrated experience with Microsoft Office Suite required. Experience working in a public relations office, communications department, or news/media; experience in a community college or higher education setting; demonstrated attention to detail, editing or copywriting experience preferred.
