Description: Clinical Dentist, Part-Time Faculty

Position Summary:  Clinical faculty supervise patient treatment in the dental hygiene and/or dental assisting clinic, adhering to the Illinois State Board of Dentistry Practice Act. Responsibilities include consulting on patient histories, diagnosing oral conditions, prescribing radiographs and medications, and coordinating emergency activities. They also provide mentorship, support professional development, and model collegial relationships, fully aligning with the college's mission and strategic initiatives.

Required Qualifications:

• Current Dental License issued by the Illinois Department of Federal Regulation.
• Current BLS Provider CPR Certification.
• Background in educational methodology, theory and practice.
• Strong passion for teaching and mentoring students.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Proficient in dental software and/or dental technology.
• Ability to adapt teaching methods to accommodate diverse learners.
• Commitment to maintaining a positive and collaborative learning environment.
