    Description:   Instructor in Chemistry, Tenure Track, for Fall 2022

    Position Summary:  IVCC is seeking an enthusiastic, flexible and highly energetic person to teach and assess student learning outcomes in organic, introductory, and general chemistry courses. Develop and promote chemistry curriculum designed both as transfer courses to four-year colleges/universities, and applied degree programs.  In collaboration with colleagues, be responsible for ongoing curriculum evaluation and improvement within the context of IVCC's general education philosophy.  Facilitate student learning outside of the classroom through participation in student activities, college, and community events; and assist with student recruitment.  

    Qualifications:  Master’s degree in Chemistry from an accredited college/university required OR a Master's degree with 18 graduate credit hours in Chemistry; teaching experience at the college level in Chemistry preferred; computer knowledge and commitment to the use of new technologies in the classroom and laboratory setting; experience with Smart classroom technology; and demonstrated commitment to the mission of the community college.
