Position Summary: IVCC is seeking an enthusiastic, flexible and highly energetic person to teach a minimum of 15 semester credit hours per fall and spring semesters, maintain office hours, and assess student learning outcomes in Art courses. Develop and promote Art curriculum designed as transfer courses to four-year colleges/universities and applied degree programs. Facilitate student learning outside of the classroom through participation in student activities, college, and community events; and assist with student recruitment. Possibility of multiple teaching modalities and locations associated with the institution.
Qualifications: Master's degree in Art History, MFA in Studio Art, OR a Master's degree in a related discipline with 18 graduate credit hours in an Art field from an accredited college/university required; experience with and willingness to teach using different modalities of instruction, including online; previous teaching experience at the college level preferred; and demonstrated commitment to the mission of the community college.
Working Conditions: Office and Classrooms at main campus, the Ottawa Center, and extension sites
