Reports To: Vice President for Academic Affairs
Salary Range: Non-exempt, commensurate with education and experience, excellent full-time benefits
Position Summary: Performs organizing, coordinating, and reporting activities as they relate to the day-to-day functions of the Academic Affairs office. This individual is responsible for providing quality customer service to students, faculty, and staff. Employees in this classification may supervise clerical employees of lower rank, and/or student workers.
Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent; three to five years of office experience, which includes the performance of clerical and secretarial duties requiring discretion and independent judgment; intermediate level computer use proficiency in Microsoft Office, Outlook email, and Internet; ability to handle multiple tasks, organize, and prioritize work; strong written and verbal communication skills, including appropriate use of grammar and spelling; ability to take and prepare meeting minutes; ability to work cooperatively with students, administration, faculty, community members and staff; and ability to collaborate and coordinate work of others required. Associate's Degree in Business Technology or its equivalent; completion of additional computer/business courses at the college level; supervisory experience; knowledge of community college programs and services; and previous secretarial experience at a college or university preferred. Knowledge of Colleague/Ellucian System and Content Management System (or comparable web design software) for web page design, creation, and editing a plus.
