    Description: Administrative Assistant, Continuing Education and Business Services (CEBS), Full-Time

    Reports To:  Director of Continuing Education and Business Services.

    Salary Range:  Non-exempt, Min. $16.50 per hour based on experience, Full-Time with excellent benefits

    Position Summary:  The Administrative Assistant is responsible for greeting and assisting all customers, guiding students through all aspects of course registration and completion, and consistently providing superior customer service, while sustaining and developing internal and external relationships for IVCC’s Continuing Education and Business Services Division. The Administrative Assistant attends to all aspects of daily operations and is responsible for a wide range of tasks in support of the Director, Program Managers and the entire department.  The Administrative Assistant must listen and communicate effectively, professionally perform tasks with a high level of accuracy, prioritize multiple assignments simultaneously, and work independently and as a contributing team member. The Administrative Assistant serves as the department’s primary contact and acts as liaison with other college departments, students, and instructors. Internal and external events occasionally necessitate an altered work schedule.

    Qualifications:  High School diploma or equivalent; knowledge of MS Office including Access, Excel, Word and Publisher; excellent oral and written communication and organizational skills; and three years clerical experience required.  Associate’s degree in appropriate discipline, previous experience with Datatel Colleague administrative software, and previous experience working in an educational department preferred.
