    Description: Administrative Assistant I, Community Relations and Development, Full-Time

    Reports To:  Executive Director of Community Relations and Development

    Salary Range:  Based on Education and Experience; Excellent Benefits Package Included

    Position Summary:   Assist the Executive Director of Community Relations and Development in the varying and changing contingencies, responsibilities and duties of the office.  Process all incoming and outgoing phone, paper and electronic correspondences; write press releases, feature stories and special events of community interest in promotion of the college; assist in developing comprehensive marketing campaigns and in organizing community events and scheduling meetings; respond to, screen and log media inquiries; maintain and create content for Intranet to be published by Webmaster; compose and send out "Everyone Email"; maintain college calendar and departmental social media.

    Qualifications:  Associate degree in marketing, public relations or related field; demonstrated ability to write clear, concise and accurate press releases; demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks; excellent interpersonal, customer service, communication and strong organizational skills required.  Experience working in a public relations office or newsroom; demonstrated experience with Colleague and Microsoft Office Suite; experience in a community college setting preferred.
