Description: Academic Support Technologist, Part-Time
Salary Range: Non-exempt, contingent on education and experience
Position Summary: Plays a service and support role at the Student Help Desk by assisting students in the use of technology. In an open computer lab environment, assists students in the use of email, video conferencing, information systems, learning management systems, computer applications, publisher content, class-specific software, assistive technology applications, computer hardware, and other technology tools. Contributes to the effectiveness of the Student Help Desk website and resources. Contributes/participates in the orientation, academic, technical, and personal support programs for the students/employees coordinated by the Learning Resources division.
Required Qualifications: Associate’s degree with related experience; excellent customer service skills; ability to multi-task and prioritize duties; teaching, tutoring, or training experience; knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; ability to problem solve, work independently, and collaborate effectively with members of a team.
Working Conditions: Office and open lab environment
