Canal Corridor Association's Spring Dinner Lecture Series
Discover the connection between Walt Whitman and Abraham Lincoln during the Canal Corridor Association's April dinner lecture. Former instructor Edward Krolak explores Walt Whitman's poetry such as, "When Lilacs Last in the Dooryard Bloom'd" and "O Captain my Captain" and the poems relationships to Abraham Lincoln. Whitman was among the first poets to illustrate what we have come to call American exceptionalism in his work, anticipating the development and growth of America as a nation.
