Lock 16 Civil War Exhibits Opening Reception, Lecture & Book Signing

Local historian and author R.G. Bluemer will share stories from his book Rally Round the Flag: The Impact of the Civil War on the Illinois Valley.  The book explores the experiences in the Civil War and is based on the letters of local soldiers, detailing camp life, battles and the hardships of war in the 19th century. 

Opening reception to follow presentation.
