The Illinois Valley Area Chamber of Commerce and Economic Development (IVAC) will hold their Business Breakfast Seminar on Wednesday, November 8th @ 7:15 a.m. at Mario's Maples in Peru. The focus of the seminar will be "Generations in the Workforce".
The generational workforce dynamics are ever changing. The significance is in terms of types of workforce behaviors, what motivates employee engagement, and the tools and practices they need to interact. This session will allow you to learn about the generational differences and identify what engages them, so organizations can increase their overall levels of engagement and improve their business outcomes. As the Managing Director & Senior Advisor of Engagement Surveys for Gallagher Integrated, a division of Gallagher Benefit Services, Inc., Chris Dustin conducts leadership presentations, training sessions, and workshops assisting and sharing best practices and strategic advice on how to improve overall business outcomes for clients. Mr. Dustin has over 20 years of executive consulting experience, working with numerous organizations across a variety of industries in the analysis, guidance, and action planning on employee engagement results. He has an extensive background in survey development and execution on employee engagement, and other workforce surveys. Mr. Dustin has also spoken at numerous national conferences on leading practices to promote positive change and improve employee engagement, change management, and talent management. Prior to joining Gallagher Integrated, Mr. Dustin served as a Director for a leading global consulting firm, leading the execution and deliverables of client projects as well as coaching and guiding clients (ranging in employee size from 100 to over 100,000) and their senior management teams on best practices. These included, but were not limited to, talent management, employee engagement, strategy and mission, leadership development, and human capital and operational strategies. He also served as a Senior Vice President of Organizational Development at a human capital management consulting firm where he specialized in employee engagement and patient experience, leading the consulting team and facilitating sales efforts that resulted in millions of dollars in revenue, spearheading the design, development, and implementation for the survey business. Mr. Dustin holds a B.S. degree in Business Administration from the University of Northern Colorado, specializing in Management. He also holds SPHR and SHRM-SCP certifications.
