Sponsored by Waxed Hands\, families can participate in a day of fun before school is back in session with a Family Fun Day on Thursday\, Aug. 8 from 11 a.m. 7 p.m. at Peru Mall\, which is owned by GK Development Inc.\n\n \n\nWaxed Hands\, a company that specializes in making lifecasting sculptures using melted wax\, will hold the day's activities throughout the mall. Attendees will have the chance to get their hand sculpted in wax\, as well as participate in other activities\, including battery-operated animal rides\, airbrush tattoos\, bounce houses and more.\n\n \n\nWristbands will be available for $15\, which include a ticket for one waxed hand\, one airbrush tattoo and unlimited battery-operated animal rides and bounce house visits. \n\n \n\nIn addition to this family-friendly event\, Peru Mall is also holding a back-to-school giveaway. Now through Friday\, Aug. 9\, shoppers can stop by center court to enter their name in the drawing. One winner will be selected to win $250\, which includes a mixture of gift cards from the mall's retailers. To enter\, participants must be 18 years of age or older\, pick up the prize in person and agree to have a photo taken for social media.\n\n \n\nPeru Mall features an assortment of retail\, service and dining establishments. The 460\,678-square-foot mall\, located at 3940 Route 251 in Peru\, currently houses more than 35 retailers. Its key retailers include Marshalls\, AMC Classic Theatre and Jo-Ann Fabrics.
