Superior customer service has always been a key part of the success of Debo Ace Hardware in downtown Peru, according to Mike Debo.

'Our knowledgeable staff excels at meeting our customers' expectations and needs,' said Debo. 'We have a dynamic selling environment, which has helped us attract, secure and gain the confidence of local consumers.'

The business, managed by Mike's daughter, Dana Debo-Kuhne, now employees 14 people.

Located in the heart of the city at 1713 Fourth St., the Peru business was first established by Mike's grandfather, Harry Debo, in 1938 and had at one time been a True Value store until 2002 when it evolved into an Ace Hardware store. Recently, the store has been remodeled. New products have been added to the various departments and the store has a new look overall. The back entrance has been opened up to include a seasonal display area with warm, inviting paint colors that are carried throughout the store.

“We are always looking for ways to make shopping at Debo Ace Hardware more convenient and enjoyable for our customers,” said Debo-Kuhne.
